Wildlife Rescue & Sanctuary
Big Country Wildlife Rehabilitation Center knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives- saving our local wildlife. In 2021 we started our rescue in Jones County Texas upon realizing the need to save our wildlife in the Big Country area. We are a non-profit organization and have filed for 501c3 status.
We realized that by working together in our community and educating the public on Texas wildlife we could save and protect our local wildlife together, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch Big Country Wildlife Rehabilitation. We work closely with other wildlife rescues and local zoos for the ultimate purpose of saving our wildlife. We offer educational programs to our community to learn about our wildlife so we can share this world together safely. Our rescue follows the guidelines recommended by the CDC and WHO in that “the health of our world also includes the health of our wild neighbors as well.”
